The Estimates Tab

Estimates are created and managed from the Estimates tab.

Here you can Add, Amend or Repeat an Estimate Request using the buttons in the action bar.

Use the filters at the bottom to help find existing estimates in the system.

The search will default to Current requests. To find Cancelled or Completed requests, you will need to change the filter to Archived or All.

The pin panel on the right of the screen will update as the Estimate Request is updated.

From here, you can see how many quotes were requested and how many have been received.

You can monitor overall progress with the Progress bar at the bottom.

Reporting

You can set up your own report under Reports > New Report to allow you to monitor the progress of multiple Estimate Requests.

Use:
  1. Category: Estimates
  2. Focus: Estimates Outstanding

This focus will allow you to filter out requests that have not moved past Requested state and have quotes that are still outstanding. You can use this to determine which requests to chase or resend.

To do this, set up your Query Build to show Estimates with a Request State - Equal To - Requested.

On the Specification screen, drag the Estimate No to the top to group results by Estimate.

You will then be able to see which quotes are outstanding for that request, and which ones have been received.
