Warranties and Maintenance Contracts - Reporting

This article is part of the Warranties and Maintenance Contracts section.
Along with Notifications and Dashboard Cards, there are several ways to keep track of warranties using Reports.
Expiring Warranties
To report on Warranties or Maintenance Contracts that are due to expire you can use a built in report.
- From the main menu bar, navigate to Reports - Development Reports - Warranty Expiry Report.
- Select a From Date and To Date. These fields are mandatory.
- Use the optional fields to narrow down your results.
- Click Apply Filter.
- The results will show you all warranties that expire in the date range selected.
Other Dates
To report on Warranty Other Dates, you can set up your own report under Reports > New Report.
Use:
- Category: Development
- Focus: Development Warranties

Don't choose Warranty Other Dates Expiry.
- Select the columns you would like to include in your report, and use the arrows to add them to the Selected box.
- Click Next.
- On the Query Build screen, set your filters.

For example, you could choose:
- Warranty Date
- Greater Than
- Ask
This will mean that before you run your report, you will be asked to input a date and your results will show all warranties with Other Dates after the chosen date.
- Click Run. As with other user reports you can group your results by column header.
- Click Next.
- Click Save to save the report as an Excel file or click Print to print it or to save it as a PDF.
- Click Finish to save the report for future use.
You can access your saved report under Reports > User Reports.
