If your contractor uses Blockworx, here’s how to raise and manage jobs:
  1. Once your estimate becomes a job, proceed as usual:
    1. Add details on Stage 1 of the Jobs Maintenance screen.
    2. Click Create New Job.

  2. On Stage 2, your contractor will already be selected.
    1. Add any additional information.
    2. Click Create Work Order.

  3. The contractor will receive a notification in Blockworx with the full details.
    1. They can download the work order from Blockworx.
Info
This process happens automatically before you email or print the work order.
  1. As with estimates, use the Comments tab to exchange comments with the contractor:

InfoTo receive pop-up notifications, ensure the Disable Toaster Popups option is unchecked in your user account.

  1. You'll receive notifications in CPL when the contractor adds comments and they'll be notified when you add comments.
    1. If you assigned the job to another user or allocated a follow-up user, they will also receive notifications.

  1. Contractors can attach files and images.
    1. View these in the Comments tab:

    2. Attachments will also appear in the Documents tab:

  2. Messaging between you and the contractor happens directly between CPL and Blockworx.
    1. This allows for quick communication, such as sending images while the contractor is onsite.
    2. All comments will be in one place, reducing the need for emails or phone calls.

  3. The job will be marked as completed when the contractor submits their invoice through Blockworx.
    1. This eliminates the need to manually mark it as completed on Stage 3.
Info
If a job is raised for a development that is later ceased to factor, any open Blockworx jobs will be automatically deleted and the contractors won’t be able to submit invoices for them.
