Jobs can be amended and cancelled at certain stages of the process.

Amending a Job

Jobs can be amended at Stage 2, after the Job has been created but before you have created your Work Order.

Alert
You cannot change the Contractor or Job Type once you have moved past Stage 2 where the Work Order has been sent to the contractor.

At this stage, you can amend the details you entered at Stage 1.

To do this:
  1. Open your Job

  2. Click the Stage 1: Create Job tab

  3. Amend the details

  4. Click the Update Stage 1 button

Info
If the Work Order has already been sent, you could make some changes and send another Work Order before moving on to completing the Job.

Update Due By Date

If you have already created the Work Order, you have the option to update the Due By date.

The Due Date is used in pop-up reminders and the Jobs card in the Dashboard.

Info
Updating the Due Date won’t affect the due date provided to the contractor on the Work Order.

To update the Due By date:
  1. Click the Update Due By Date button

  2. Enter the amended Due Date and time details

  3. Click Submit
Notes You will need to have the "JobsTab Edit Stage 2 Due Date" permission to be able to use this button.

Cancelling a Job

If you no longer require a Job it can be cancelled, depending on what stage you are at.

To do this:
  1. Click the Cancel button in the bottom action bar.

  2. Enter a cancellation reason, if prompted.
Notes
The System Setting "Job Cancellation Requires Reason" can be enabled to force users to enter a reason before a Job can be cancelled.

You can cancel jobs at JIP status, where the Work Order has been created but not sent or CAI status, where the Work Order has been completed with the Complete Work Order button.

You cannot cancel jobs at EXC, INC or NAT status.
