Introduction


The Inspections tab on a Development allows you to upload inspection reports, helping you keep track of your site inspections.

Contact Support if you'd like to add additional frequencies to the drop-down. You can specify the name of the frequency and the number of weeks or months to set against it. Please note that an exact date cannot be set.

Adding Inspections

If you use INSPCT, you can skip this step. Inspection reports are set to completed in INSPCT, then sent to CPL. 

To upload an inspection manually, follow these steps:

  1. Open a Development.

  2. Go to the Inspections tab.

  3. Click Upload in the action panel on the left.

  4. Select a Document Type, e.g. Inspections.

The options in this drop-down come from the setup of the document type itself. You can manage document types under System > Documents Types. To add entries to the drop-down, edit the missing document type and include Inspections in the list of selected Source Types. Find out more about document types here.



  1. Add the Inspection Date.

  2. Choose a Web Document Type (Optional).

  1. Add a Description.

  2. Add Notes (Optional).

  3. Click the three dots next to Upload File, browse for your file, highlight it and click Open.

  4. Tick Inspection Complete.

  5. Select the Audience Type, e.g. Private (Account only).

The options in this drop-down come from the setup of the Document Type that you selected earlier. You can manage document types under System > Documents Types.  To add entries to the drop-down, edit the document type and add to the list of selected Audience Types. After making any changes to document types, log out and log back in to apply the updates. Find out more about document types here.



  1. Click Save.

  2. A confirmation message will appear: File Upload Successful. Click OK.

  3. Click Refresh to include the newly added inspection in the list.



Managing Inspections


Viewing 


All inspections are displayed by default. Use the Show filter to choose between All, Current or Deleted inspections.

Use the Document Type filter to narrow down inspections based on the document type selected.

To view the file attached to an inspection, highlight the inspection and click Preview in the action panel on the left, or double-click on the inspection.

Amending

To edit an inspection, click Amend in the action panel on the left.

If you have shared the inspection to the Web Portal and want to mark it as an important document, tick the Important box.

Click Save to save your changes.

The document type can't be edited once uploaded. If you need to change it, you'll have to delete the inspection and upload it again.

Deleting

To delete an inspection, highlight it and click Delete in the action panel on the left.

To view deleted inspections, select Deleted in the Show filter and click Refresh

When editing an inspection, the Deleted? box will be ticked on deleted inspections.
