Introduction

In order to work with a property management company you will need to set up a link with them from your Blockworx account. This will enable requests for quotes and work orders for jobs to come through to you and you will also be able to submit invoices for the work you have carried out.

In order to set up this link, you will need to use a code provided by the property management company.
You can set up the link through your Blockworx account on the web or in your Blockworx app and you will find information on how to do this below.

Please Note, only those users with Administrator privileges will be able to set this up.  If this option is not available to you, you are not an Administrator for your company account and will need someone with the correct privileges to be able to request to connect to a property management company.

Linking to a Property Management Company in the Blockworx Web Portal

You can follow the steps below to set up this link in the Blockworx web portal:
  1. Click on the COMPANIES link in the Blockworx header area.

    1. If you have recently created your Blockworx Company Account and you have not linked to any companies yet then the Linked Companies section on the left of your screen will be empty.

  2. As mentioned above, you will need to ask the property management company for their Blockworx Company Code.

    1. This code is unique to each property management company and must be obtained from them before they can send you any information via Blockworx.

  3. In the Link With a Company section on the right of the screen, enter the Company Code you have been provided with from the property management company.



  4. Once you have typed the code, click on the orange Request To Link With The Company button.

Linking to a Property Management Company in the Blockworx App

You can follow the steps below to set up this link in the Blockworx app:
  1. Tap on the COMPANIES link in the Home page of the Blockworx app.

    1. This will open the companies screen.

    2. If you have recently created your Blockworx Company Account and you have not linked to any companies yet then the Linked Companies section on the left of your screen will be empty.

  2. As mentioned above, you will need to ask the property management company for their Blockworx Company Code.

    1. This code is unique to each property management company and must be obtained from them before they can send you any information via Blockworx.

  3. Tap on the Link With a Company section at the top of the screen.

  4. Enter the Company Code you have been provided with from the property management company and tap on the orange Request to Link with the company button.

When the Property Management Company Approves the Link

Whether you've carried out your request to link in either the web portal or the app, Blockworx will send your link request to the property management company. They will verify your request and link your Blockworx site to the account details they already hold for your company.

If you have not been issued with a Company Code by the property management company, then you should contact them directly.  Each property management company has their own unique code.
  1. Whilst you are waiting for the property management company to approve your request, you will note that the Linked Companies section on the left of the screen in the web portal will contain the property management company and display the status with an orange AWAITING AUTHORISATION label.

  2. On the app, this information will appear on the Companies page.

  3. When the property management company has approved your link request they will be listed as Linked.

You will now be able to receive quote requests, jobs and required invoice requests for contract work from them and submit your invoices.

You can return to this area on either the web portal or the app and repeat the process when you would like to link with any additional property management companies.
