To create an instant bank payment for a client, please follow the below steps:

  1. Load the client account in question.

  2. Select the Direct Debits tab. 

  3. Select the relevant Direct Debit profile. Select Amend

  4. Select Email Instant Bank Payment Link:



  5. The client's default email address will pop up but you can amend it if a different email address is to be used for this transaction. Click Finish.

  6. The next window will be pre-populated with the client's balance which you can amend. The amount must be positive so if the client is in credit, change it to a positive amount. You can add two decimals if needed. Click Finish.

  7. Click OK in the Email Sent pop-up window.

The client will receive an email with a customised link to follow through. They need to complete the payment details and pay in their banking app or on the bank's website:





Once the client has completed the payment, you will see it in your Go Cardless Portal under Payments.

The email sent to the client is saved on the Documents tab of the client account.

After 24 hours the payment will appear on the Transaction Activity tab of the client account in CPL.
