This article is part of the Blockworx Basics section which is part of the Working with Blockworx section.
Introduction
This section will cover some essential pieces of information which will help you to get up and running and find your way around Blockworx.
These are central to many areas within Blockworx.
We'll start with accessing the Blockworx Web Portal itself and you'll also find information on how to make best use of the Blockworx Dashboard in the web portal and the Blockworx App.

The Blockworx Dashboard
When you log into your Blockworx account, you'll always end up on the Dashboard. Here you can view everything which has recently come through to you from the property management companies you are connected with.
The following information will introduce you to the main features of the Dashboard so that you can use it to your advantage.
- The Dashboard is split into four quadrants.
- In the upper-left is the Quote Requests section. Requests for quotes will appear in this section.
- Clicking on one of these quote requests will link you through to the record for more information.
- In the upper-right is the Jobs section. Work Orders for jobs will appear in this section.
- In the lower-left is the Queried Invoices section. If any invoices you have submitted are being queried, you will find them here.
- Clicking on one of these records will link you through to the individual job you have submitted an invoice for.
- In the lower-right is the Required Invoices section. If you carry out contract work then requests for invoices to accompany this contract will be displayed in this section.
Clicking on an individual line in any of these sections will take you through to the record for more information.
- The number of items in each section will be listed under the title.
- Each section is split into columns to organise the information.
- Where the arrow is displayed will let you know which column is being used to filter the records.
- You can click on the column headers in each section to organise the list of entries by that column.
- The direction of the arrow will tell you whether they are displaying in ascending or descending order.
- For example the Jobs section is filtered on the Received Date with the most recently received job at the top.
- If you click on the Due Date column you can organise it by when these jobs are due.
- Any new records that you have not clicked to open will display in bold text.
- However, the records will be displayed in each section in the Dashboard until you have responded to them.
- For example, when you have submitted a quote against a quote request or submitted an invoice for a job.
There are also full sections for
Quote Requests,
Jobs and
Required Invoices which are accessible from the blue header bar.
Queried Invoices can also be accessed from the main
Jobs area.
Wherever you are in Blockworx, you can always return to the Dashboard by clicking on the link in the blue header bar.
